Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.
In February, I will be taking part in Paddle Across The Bay.
I'm paddling to raise funds for Lifeline who are experiencing more calls than ever before. Every 30 seconds, a person in Australia reaches out to Lifeline for help.
Please support my paddle and sponsor me to provide suicide prevention services and help to those in crisis.
Together, we can ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.

It is done!
Sunday 25th Feb After a very early and chilly start to the day, we headed to the beach meeting point for the Paddleacrossthebay challenge to raise funds for Lifeline Australia. There we saw people of all ages, treats and newbies getting reading to paddle. After some announcements, a safety briefing and a minutes silence (in honour of those no longer with us) we headed out to the water. We paddled towards Hampton first, the looping around to Elwood. We then headed back to Brighton for something to eat and a well earned rest.

Change of date!
Thursday 22nd Feb So, in the interests of safety and given Melbourne’s crazy weather, the organisers have changed to date to Sunday 25th March.
What a day on the bay!
Wednesday 21st Feb Today I did a bit of training! It was a perfect summers day and the water was calling. So out came the paddle board, hat and sunscreen and off I went! 6 kms were covered today so I should be ok on Saturday. Glad it’s not a race though! Must remember my water bottle… paddling is thirsty work! Thanks again to my sponsors, both for your generous donations and for believing in me!
